MODERN LANGUAGES
The Modern Languages Unit includes professors and researchers from different areas of study. It offers a degree programme in "Modern Foreign Languages and Civilisations" to students interested in deepening their knowledge of foreign languages and cultures, through the analysis of works, authors and movements and their historic and sociological impact.
The Unit is a natural continuation of the Language sector of the former A.L.E.F. Department, which was already the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literature.

The Modern Languages Unit is located in the Viale San Michele Complex.
It includes the Biblioteca di Lingue (the Language Library) with a reading room that seats 70. The library catalogue currently has approximately 40.000 books, 90 subscriptions to literary and linguistics periodicals and a multimedia section of films and audiobooks in their original language. Digital periodicals, bibliographic and full-text Databases are also available online and for all enrolled students.
The structure includes seven classrooms and a multimedia language laboratory that seats 25. Internet access is guaranteed to students from five public seats thanks to Ateneo Wi-Fi.
