The CORDA (Cooperation for Orientation and Reduction of Access Difficulties) project was created as an orientation initiative for students of some High Schools who intend to undertake any of the courses of study at the University of Parma.

From the a.a. 2017-2018 the project - which initially originated within the former Department of Mathematics - has been extended to the humanities area and provides CORDA courses in English language and from a.y. 2022-2023 CORDA courses in Latin language.

The participating schools deliver a special course, in consultation with the University of Parma, and the attending students access a final orientation exam, with benefits and rewards if they pass.

Currently, students in contact with the courses number about 850 per year, and the subjects taught are Mathematics, Computer science, English and Latin.

The English language project is currently activated on an experimental basis in selected schools in the provinces of Parma and Piacenza.
The Latin language project is currently activated on an experimental basis in selected schools in the province of Parma.
