Instructions and information common to all degree courses

Please note that:

  • completion is possible only after the payment of the first instalment a.y. 2025/26
  • completion is mandatory for any student enrolled in a.y. 2025/26 in a regular FULL-TIME course year
  • final completion and confirmation of the programme of study is essential in order to proceed with online inscription for course appeals
  • students not completing the course within the prescribed time for course completion cannot complete the online study programme (see directions given in the Out-of-Course Students Section)

Submission of the study programme will be possible by accessing their web profile:
Menù Segreteria > Piano di studio; scroll down the page and select Nuovo piano or Modifica pianoProsegui compilazione piano carriera → all choices to be made up to the current year of inscription (including those already made in previous years) will be presented in order.

For compilation, it is recommended to use a PC and not a cell phone.

When filling out, it will be possible to make choices limited to the year of the course you are attending and make any changes to those made in previous years (e.g., second-year students will fill out the plan relative to the second year and may change any choices made last year; new students will instead make choices limited to the first year).

Please note that, even after confirmation, IN CASE OF NEED, the programme of study will still be editable by the end of the compilation period: simply reconnect, make the necessary changes and proceed with the NEW CONFIRMATION.

If you encounter technical difficulties when filling in online please send an email with the subject line “PIANI DI STUDIO” to segreteria.corsiumanistici@unipr.it stating your new student and a detailed description of the problem detected. Students are advised that requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

More information on how to submit a program of study through ESSE3 can be found in the following document:

Students enrolled in PART-TIME mode will need to submit a paper programme of study: to obtain the form, you must make contact with your Teaching Office.

Students enrolled OUT OF COURSE may not change the programme of study. They are urged to contact their respective Course Presidents for consideration of any educational issues.

Please note that any change in the programme of study implies inscription to the A.Y. 2025/26 and subsequent graduation from the first useful session of that Academic Year (July 2026).

Residence halls students enrolled in A.Y. 2025/26 who have requested validations and/or acknowledgements from their Course Council, must still proceed with filling out the programme of study even if they have not yet received the official resolution from the Council: careers are being verified and the relevant notices will be sent by email.

Free credits are credits that the course regulations leave to the free choice of the student.

Students of three-year courses may choose free credits, in addition to their own course, from all three-year courses of the university active in this academic year. In the case of choosing course units from other degree courses, it is advisable to check with the relevant teaching hub, the actual possibility of support (e.g., it is not possible to choose attendance-only courses present in science or medical courses).

Students in first-cycle degree courses can choose free ECTS credits, in addition to their own course, from all first-cycle and second-cycle degree courses of the university active in this academic year, as long as no course units already taken in the three-year period or mutuations of course units already taken are selected.

To allow a wider possibility of choice, in some cases, free credits have been grouped to the last year of the course; even in this case it will be possible to confirm any choices made in previous years as well as their modification and/or integration.

You are reminded that course units cannot be present more than once even with different credits and code (e.g., if the 6 ECTS geography course unit with code 222 is among the core course units, it is not possible to choose among the free credits the 12 ECTS geography course unit or another 6 ECTS geography course unit but with code 333).
