The PF60 courses are university courses of initial qualifying training for teaching, established pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 59/2017 and governed by the Prime Ministerial Decree of August 4, 2023.
They are aimed at obtaining the qualification for teaching in first and second grade secondary schools and provide a training pathway equal to 60 university course credits (ECTS).
The PF60 courses include educational activities in the pedagogical, psychological and methodological-didactic fields, class-specific teaching workshops, direct and indirect internships at educational institutions, and a final qualifying examination.
They are addressed to graduates and second-cycle degree students who meet the entry requirements for the competition class, as well as to students enrolled in second-cycle degree courses who have acquired at least 180 ECTS.
The current regulations also provide shorter courses (30 ECTS) for specific categories of candidates, including those who have accrued at least three years of service or who have been successful in a competition.
The activation of the PF60 course is subject to the accreditation of the competition classes by the Ministry of University and Research and the subsequent publication of calls for admission by the University.
For each academic year, the University activates the pathways exclusively for the authorized competition classes.
